Hi,
I am trying to connect to the Agilent 4294A impedance analyzer through a LAN connection using a chosen IP address in order to control the device with a LabVIEW program but am receiving the following error from MAX:
Return status code: ocBFFF0011
Status name: VI_ERROR_RSRC_NFOUND
Insufficient location information or the device or resource is not present in the system.
This problem occurs very randomly. One second, the device is connected properly and I am able to run the LabVIEW program. Then, it disconnects and MAX gives me this error.
I do not think this is a problem with the LAN connection because the internet connection of my computer remains stable throughout.
If anyone has any thoughts please let me know.
Thanks,
Nika

Hi Nika,
Did you check the connection between the instrument and the hub?
Would you please try a different cable?
Regards,
Sammy

Hi Nika,
Let's update your NI-488.2 and NI-VISA drivers. You can find them at:
http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/fn/p/lang/en
Do you happen to have access to another 4294A to test with this system?
Please run an NI-SPY capture to see at what points there error occurs.

Hi Sammy,
I have updated both drivers and still have the same problem and unfortunately I do not have other impedance analyzers to test the system with. However, I was not having this problem with the device a few months ago, which is weird.
I have attached the NI-SPY file for your reference.
Thanks for your help.

Nika
