Hi,
I am trying to communicate with a Miteq 1:8 redundant switching system for High Power Amplifier.
My VI is giving me a framing error. I already read the thread about framing error posted here and made sure that my port is configured to match the equipment's parameters.
(Data bit - 7; Parity - Even, Baud rate (9600) the equipment is silent regarding Data flow and Stop bits, ( I am assuming NONE and 1.0 respectively)
I am using a laptop with a USB port. I have a USB-Serial cable from NI. I am using an IC-?855 RS232-RS485 converter because the system is RS485. I already checked the pinout for the port that I am using an made a connector that match Tx+ in the converter with Rx+; Tx- to Rx-; and the other two cables are connected as well.
I opened MAX and tried to write directly to the VISA driver but I get an error as well.
I am not even sure if the manual is right, this is an old switch and somebody might have modified the connections at the port.
Is there any trick to know what the connection is?
I will appreciate any thought here
Thanks a lot

Hi Jeff,
I can not open the link you sent me but we finally figured the problem was the pinout connection. Was not according to the manual or any document we have.
Sorry I didn't answer before.
Thanks a lot for answering!
