Serial drivers preventing standby mode

I have a machine with the NI Serial (RS-232) card installed, running Windows 2000. When I try to put the machine in standby mode, I get the error: "The device driver for the 'N.I. PCI-232/8 Communications Port 8 (COM3)' device is preventing the machine from entering standby. Please close all applications and try again. If the problem persists, you may need to update this driver."

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Hi Osman,

The NI-Serial plug-in driver for Windows 2000 does not support power management, though it is on our todo list.
