Slave address and send setpoint for ThermoNeslab bath

Hey everyone,

     I downloaded the rte-17 drivers online,im using rs-485 connection so i had to modify some of the driver to work.I got it to work on slave address 1 but i try a different address it doesn work,i notice the light blinks on the unit but no feedback,also im trying to send commands for setpoint to the unit and it wouldnt work,thanks

Hi,

I just took a look at the Neslab RTE-17 library.  It was created using a old version of NI-VISA, you may need to replace some of the VI's with the current VISA VI's if using a modern version.

Other than that, I found the manual here.

Hey Ben thanks for the response,

     I replaced the vi's with new Visa's like i said address 01 works good as far as getting internal temp,but if i put the unit to a second address, and try the vi it doesnt work

I have attached the vi i made for the device,maybe something wrong?thanks for your help

I can't see anything wrong with how you are programming with VISA.  Perhaps another user has some experience using this particular instrument.
