Hi.
I just bought a GPIB-USB-HS from eBay. It is brand new.
After I installed the NI488.2. The system(both the device manager and MAX) can recognize the GPIB-USB-HS. And the ready light was lit.
However, something weird just happened. The ready light keeps going on and off. And the system(both the device manager and MAX) sometimes can recognized it, sometimes can't. I can't work with GPIB-USB-HS this way. Can someone help me to identify what the problem might be? Thank you.
I also made a video. Hope it would help you to identify the problem:

Thank you very much. I really appreicate that.
Best Regards,
Bruce

Are you connected directly into a USB port?
Turn off the Windows USB power saving.

Yes. I connected directly into a USB port.
I turned off the windows USB power saving as instruced in link below:

That did not solve the problem 😞 still same problem.

Are you using the latest NI-488.2 for your OS ?

I think so... I just downloaded it and installed it on my pc yesterday.
I think at first it works fine. But just suddenly, I don't know what happened. It became like this.

Are you still able to use it to communicate with an instrument?

Even though the system can recognize it, it keeps getting offline frequently as shown in the video. Then I would lose it and I can't perform any communication in this case.
I wonder whether this piece of GPIB-USB-HS happens to be broken?

Hey Bruce,
Have you tried installing this device on a different computer to see if it still behaves the same way? This would be a good step in determining if it's the device or the computer acting up.

Hi, I can't find my gpib-usb-hs when I opened my Measurement & automation explorer. I installed the latest NI-VISA and NI488.2 but no luck. I used this device before on another computer and it works. Can some one help me.
