Tektronix TDS 220 Oscope not found by MAX using USB GPIB HS

Max 5.4 will not identify my Tk TDS 220 for any GPIB address I set it to.

Hi VISluth! 

 

Is your instrument set to allow external control? You can find information about this in the instrument manual.

 

Also, while looking into the TDS 220, I found the following webpage which could suggest that you have defective hardware:

You could also check for IP between the instrument and your computer.

Solved for me!

I had to use a GPIB cable (because the USB->GPUB Adapter from NI was too big and did not correct plug)

and I also installed TekVISA (but did not replace the NI Visa).

And now it works fine for me.

Also the both drivers for LabView are very good!
