Trouble with PCI-GPIB in PowerPC G4

After installing the GPIB interface in a PCI slot of my Macintosh PowerPC G4 (MacOS ROM 6.7.1, system 9.1, ATI Rage 128 PRO), the computer stops booting and the message "address error" appears. The same error happens putting extensions off. I have also tried to load extensions in a different order. What can I do?

National Instruments has not qualified the driver to work on Mac OS 9.1. Some single processor G4 machines do work Mac OS 9.1 and our driver, and others some seem to have this problem. We are looking into it but cannot offer a resolution at this point. If you want to use Mac OS 9.1, I would recommend switching to the GPIB-ENET.

Has any progress been made? I have come up against exactly the same problem on my new G4
