USB-TC01 Linux device driver

Hello.

I want to connect USB-TC01 to a PC running Ubuntu OS to measure temperature.

While for Windows, it's as simple as installing the .exe file, I can't seem to find any manual for Ubuntu.

Could you please share any relevant information?

Thank you in advance for your response.

You need to install DAQmx driver for USB-TC01.

Please download the linux drivers from https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-linux-device-drivers.html#521765

I installed the package through the link you provided and the Readme, and I confirmed the following screen.

Although the Readme indicates that temperature measurement with TC01 is possible on Ubuntu 22.04, in the current environment, it shows that the device is not supported, as shown in the picture.

Is this correct? If there is anything I missed, please let me know.

The fact that you can create a simulated device does not mean that this device is not supported by DAQmx, rather the contrary.

So I installed it according to the manual, but while Windows has an .exe file, what should I run for Ubuntu?

The driver installation is complete.

What EXE file? If you mean NI-Max, that does not exist under Linux and is getting depreciated under Windows too. The new way to configure hardware is the NI Hardware Configuration utility which exists on Linux and Windows. And I think you already found that as your previous screenshot shows.

The attached photo shows that in a Windows environment, I can use such a program to check the temperature.

I'm curious if there's a similar program for Linux.

Please also explain how to set it up.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

The app in the image is loaded from USB-TC01's memory and looks like it supports only Windows.
