Unable to Communicate with PC to Instruments

I am trying to communicate from my PC, using LabVIEW 8.0, to 3 instruments.

I am able to see one of the instruments, but the other two are not recognized by the PC. I am able to communicate with a Agilent 33220A Functions generator (using a USBa - USBb cable), but unable to communicate with a DSO3102A Agilent Oscilloscope (USBa - USBb) or a TDS5052 Tektronix Phospor Oscilloscope (USBa - USBa). Do anybody have experience with communicating with these instruments or any suggestions on how to be able to communicate?

jdionne,

Do you have the following drivers: Agilent Technologies DSO3102A and Tektronix TDS 5052? Are you getting any errors any errors?

I do have the drivers. I downloaded the drivers that corresponds to both. The problem I have is when I install the drivers and then try to run the Plug&Play, the device is not recognized by NI. However, the instruments are recognized by the computer as a connected hardware device.

Do you have the NI-VISA 3.2 driver installed? It is a requirement for each of these Plug & Play drivers.

The thing that is wierd is that my computer shows that the oscilloscope is attached to the computer through USB, but it is not recognized by LabVIEW. Every time I turn on the power, my computer says "New Hardware Installed, Agilent 3000 Series Oscilloscope"

The is no error that appears. It is just that I would like to communicate with the oscilloscope and the only instrument that appears in the drop down menu in my VI is the function generator

Hi,

When you mention

The problem I have is when I install the drivers and then try to run the Plug&Play, the device is not recognized by NI.

Did you configure the Agilent DSO3102A or Tektronix TDS5052 in MAX before trying to run the examples?

Can you please send me a screen shot of the VI that you are referring to, with the list expanded? Are you able to see your instrument in Measurement & Automation?
