Using LabVIEW to run GenieTouch Syringe Pump

I am a student working on a design project and have no previous experience with LabVIEW, though I have watched a few tutorials (somewhat helpful).  I am in charge of the control system and was told that I should use LabVIEW to control the syringe pump, MCC DAQ (USB-1208FS), and MCC Relay (USB-ERB08). I realize this is a very broad question, but any help on how I should approach this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Just to give an update on what I've done so far.  I've downloaded the MCC DAQ CD linked here.  I then used this video to set up the VI for the USB-1208FS, but can't get the device to show up in the "physical channels" box on the front panel, even though my block diagram is set up exactly as shown in the video.

I have found some resources you may find helpful in setting up your system and using LabVIEW. The Measurement Computing forums had a KnowledgeBase article detailing some reasons why the hardware channels are not appearing in LabVIEW. I have also included some getting started resources you may also find interesting. I hope this helps!
