Dear everyone:
I have the problem of initailize the 61604 (ac source) by VISA . The error code picture as below.
---first, I can see the instrument 61604 on the MAX , and I can communicate with instrument by MAX. I sent *IND string to 61604 ,then MAX can Received the string like ''chroma ATE,61604,001634,1,25,1.34,1.20........So Can I ensure the 61604 communicate with MAX well?
---second, I see the VISA name of 61604 instrument is "61604_1" the same as the INITANILIZE.vi.pls see the picutre as attached.
So what confused me is that 61604 can communicat with MAX , and the instrument VISA name in the INITANILIZE.vi is the same as MAX.
Why always error????

That's an error from an IVI function. Did you define the IVI setup in MAX?

When you open MAX, you should plainly see a link to configure an IVI driver.

Hello:

Dear Dennis,
I found the 61604 IVI setup in Max.(refer to picture). But I find the boot of the error. In Initialize.vi ,I put into the name is 61604_1, however , I refresh the resource name which show instrument name is GPIB::.....NOT 61604_1.
So, how can I make instrument show 61604_1 in the resource name?

Hi:
U re right...The IVI dirver setup is empty. Is that the reason????

It is the logical name that is used with IVI as you can see in the initialize function. Why are you looking under driver sessions?
