I bought a LCR Meter (819)to Good Will Instek with a RS232 interface but we did not find in the user manual the commands RS232 allowing to "communicate" with our LCR via the port serie. They gave us a logicial that we can not use for our experiments...

I also looking for labview driver for LCR-800 series. and on http://www.tequipment.net/InstekSoftwares.html there is no driver or any commands for it.

The first step in seeing if the device can communicate with National Instruments software is to connect it by serial and then open the Measurement and Automation Explorer and right click on the Com port the device is connected to under devices and interfaces and choose VISA test panel and here is where you can test reading and writing to the device.  In order to get a command set for the device would require that you contact the manufacturer.

Hi, i'm having the same problem too. But i'm not able to use the advice you gave because i dont see anything about serial port under devices and interfaces. can you help me to get the 'ports(serial&parallel)' button. i also dont see the 'scan for instruments' button
