What kind of GPIB card is compatible with a Shimadzu AGS-20kNG Tensile Tester?

I am trying to set up a Shimadzu AGS-20kN-G Tensile Tester, which uses a GPIB connection to communicate with the computer, which is running WinAGS 3.2 software in Windows 98.  The original card that came with the computer is missing and I need to know what kind of card I need.  Would a current NI 488.2 card work?  I don't know the revision of GPIB in use in the controller, and the commands would be generated by the WinAGS software and piped through the GPIB card.  Any help would be appreciated.

I would look through the software or the manuals for any clues. Barring that, I would suggest contacting Shimadzu.

I have already contacted Shimadzu. The machine manual doesn't give details of how to interface with the GPIB. They could not find a manual for the software, which is about 10 years old.

Hey Marshall,
I am assuming that you are simply in need of a PCI-GPIB card that will work in a Windows 98 computer. You will than be using a third party software to send commands to your instrument through this PCI-GPIB. If my assumptions are correct than the NI PCI-GPIB at the following link should work perfectly for you within your PC with Windows 98. Thanks again and have a great day!
