Why won't my NT/P3 system seem my GPIB card?

It doesn't appear to be using a IRQ already assigned, the jumpers are right, and it works in another machine running NT just fine. Any ideas? I'm using the default memory location (0x2c0), and have tried de-selecting DMA. The CPU is a P3 HPVectraVL 500Mhz.

Hello Dennis,
First, check here
http://www.ni.com/support/gpib/versions.htm
to make sure you are using the right version of NI-488.2.

From your description, it sound like you are using an AT-GPIB or AT-GPIB/TNT (non-Plug&Play) card. Before you insert the card into the computer, you should be going into MAX, right clicking Devices and Interfaces and selecting Create New>>gpib interface>>... The software will tell you what the jumper settings should be and will give you screenshots. After setting the jumpers, just shutdown the computer, and put in the card.
