capture.spy

I have a question about the "capture.spy" file that is generated.  I have a "capture.spy" file on my machine that is 2.44GB.  Rather large I must say.  I read on-line that the default keeps it to a much smaller amount.  100 lines I think.  Is it OK to deleted this file?  How do I eliminate the accumulation of such a large file in the future?  What do you recommend?

Thanks for any help!

deleting is ok, because you or somebody else generated it by logging this.

Thanks for the reply.  Is there a way for us to turn this off and not get huge files over the years?

Yes

In the NI programs (windows start/national instruments section) you find eiher NI-IOtrace or NI-Spy, they changed the name recently.

And in the options you should uncheck that it logs data to disk.

I'm not in the neighbourhood of a system with LabVIEW so I can't give more details.

Or even better, don't start that program.
