extract numbers.vi worked in LV5.01 DOESN'T WORK IN LV6.1, why?

check the screen dump attachment of this vi results: it is putting "1.00" between all the actual data. this DID NOT happen in LV5.01 (i wrote this vi in LV5.01 then installed LV6.1). is this a bug??

I have just run the extract numbers.vi from NI's website and it seems to work correctly in LabVIEW 6.1. The vi is attached to this message. I have also attached a bitmap displaying the results this vi returned.

I have the same problem that you in LB6.1, it can not read 1.23E2 it reads 1.23 and 2

Why do you want it? Use Spreadsheet String to Array.

Because I am working an exercise about "Read VISA waveform" in the Labview Basic Course I, but when I don't have an Extract numbers VI to complete it. Can you help me ?

As I said, you can replace it with the function I mentioned.

 

My copy of the course does not show a reference to this VI or a Read VISA Waveform. What version of the course and LabVIEW are you using. If you really need this old VI, post to the the upconvert thread and attach the above VI.
