How are you trying? What's the instrument? What are you writing? What errors do you get? There are just too many thing that can wrong with serial and you havne't provided much in the way of details. There are also thousands of posts related to setting a serial session in LabVIEW. Assuming you get an error, have you tried searching the forum for that error code?
