gpib enet and win2000

I've installed the GPIB-ENET driver for WIN2000.
The diagnostic test pass, i can communicate with my instruments with IBIC.
I don't know how add the hardware in WIN2000:

- in MAX2.0 when i "Create New" from "Device and Interfaces" i don't see
ENET in the list of devices.

- in LabVIEW i don't see "GPIB::" in "Resource Visa Name"

Can you help me?
Thanks

Maybe I am lost, I have never tried one of these.
The best I can figure, this is a stand alone box that connects to the
ethernet.
It should have an IP address and maybe a name. I dont think you will
see ENET anywhere nor do I think you will see GPIB.
What I think you MAY see is the IP and or name of the ENET box.
If this is the case you can't "Add Hardw
are" since it is not installed inthe
PC
What you may want is to look in "Network Neighborhood" and find the device.

If I am totally off the mark someone let me know. I am about to order one
of these.

The problem is that VISA doesn't recognize the ENET so i can't use my
instrument driver.
When i go (WIN2000) in RESOURCE VISA NAME i see only "COM1 - COM2 - LPT",
instead,
in WIN98 there are also links like "GPIB0::19::instr".
That's my problem.
I'm start to thinking that the real problem is in LabVIEW+VISA and not in
the ENET DRIVER.
Thanks

Hmm,
I looked at this a little more and according to the stuff on zone.ni.com
you have to use the 488.2 setup (maybe the MAX now) and associate
the GPIB0 to the IP address of the ENET box.

Once you do this then the VISA should see GPIB0 and not care that
it is ethernet.

Sorry,
I have exhausted my knowledge of this.
I does appear that the FIND Resource is limited in scope to what I will search
for.
You might try changeing the expression fed into the Find Resource to "GPIB*"
it looks like there may be some limitations in the hard coded expressions.
Especially if you are using the "Easy Find Visa Resources"

FIXED!!
The problem was a bug in LabVIEW 6i .
I've installed the release 5.1 and VISA see my ENET.
After i've installed the release 6i and VISA see my ENET.
Maybe the problem is in the installation of the ENET driver and not in the
driver..
Anyway thanks

Did you notice that NI just posted a new version 2.5 of VISA on their FTP
server. Just went through the same mess: gpib card answers its own driver
diagnostics, but won't respond at all to labview 6i in Win2000. The new
VISA does some things, but it's not perfect.
