In my Add/Remove Programs, I have only the following:
NI ComponentWorks Automation Symbols
NI ComponentWorks Autotuning PID
NI LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolset 1.0.1
NI LabVIEW SPC Tools
NI Signal Processing Toolset 7.0.1
There isn't even a list for a GPIB library or CEC GPIB 488 driver. The NI-488 shows up in the "Measurement & Automation" program but it doesn't have any way turning it off. Where should I look next?
There is a gpib-32.dll file in my Windows' System32 directory. Should I just rename it and reboot?
As for the savings of $35 for an NI card, well, you know how bosses are. $35 is $35 regardless of the hidden costs. But for the point of this discussion, I'm not installing a GPIB card. Rather, I have a GPIB-to-USB device for the flexibility of going from laptop or desktop to GPIB device. Now if I could only get the drivers to work ...
