interface between labview and agilent 33250a gives error

Dennis is right in saying that you should use a real gpib bus controller instead of the prologix one. The drivers you downloaded are correct for a gpib bus driver that adheres to the standard. The prologix is NOT eeven close to the standard. So either you replace all gpib visa functions by replacements from prologix or buy another controller.

Dear Dennis and Albert,

Thanks for your help. I changed VISA to end with CR/LF but maybe I did something wrong and that didn't work. I just had to resort to using MATLAB between LABVIEW and Agilent so that MATLAB would take care of controlling Agilent function generator. Anyway, thanks for your help.

In that case I even prefer the prologix interface over matlab for intrumentIO
