I have a question. I have Dielectric Interface 1296, which connected with SOLARTRON 1260. It looks like evething is OK, but i don't understand why the results of Capacitance Imaginary e" is always <0 (minus value) in range 10^6-10^7 Hz.
Shouldn't this be a question for the instrument vendor? You have not provided any information on the connection type, the programming language, the nature of the test, or why you might think there is an issue with NI hardware or software.
I use GPIB connector and program SMART. I think there is a problem because Capacitance Imaginary <0 is not possible (in physics). I reinstalled Windows XP and all drivers for GPIB. Results in 1-10^6 Hz is normal, but 10^6-10^7 Hz Capacitance Imaginary <0. I read the Operating Manual that Dielectric Interface 1296 with Solartron 1260 can measure up to 10^7 (1Mhz).
