need to delete legacy ni 488.2 software

I can not delete the old 488.2 software.

I get this message when I go to load 488.2.2.7

Legacy NI-488.2 Software Detected

A legacy version of NI-488.2 has been detected. You must exit this installer and uninstall the legacy NI-488.2 software before you can install this software. To continue without exiting, you must deselect the NI-488.2 feature.

Software does not show up on add/remove window.

Under add/remove programs do you have a selection titled "National Instruments Software"? If you do select that and a submenu will pop up with "NI-488.2" as a selection.

I appreciate this advise but that is the problem, The legacy ni488.2 software does not show up in the add delete software,

no matter what option I use to display it.  I tried to reload it and then delete it and it and then deleted it and I still got the same message

when I tried to load the ni 488.2.2.7.  The newer versions of the ni 488.2 do show up in the add delete software control panel.

Hmm, there is a utility tool available for tough install/uninstall problems call MSI Blast. You really need to be careful with it though. See:

If you have SSP with NI you might want to call them first.
