old visa open error

It seems that the same application causes an 'old visa error' on some GPIB gateways I use and on others not. Though the gateways are identical.
Any Idea?

A little more information is needed to determine what could be going on.
Do you have the error code and message?. Is it always the same error?. What OS are you using? What version of NI-VISA are you using?. You can find the VISA version in the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) or in the Add/remove programs utility.
