Hi.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 and I wanna install NIdaqmxbase to use USB6009. The installation was performed in following manners:
-Download nidaqmxbase from NI website
-running the INSTALL script inside
-alien -d -k --script *.rpm
-dpkg -i *.deb
-rpm -ivh *.rpm --nodeps
-running all the <rpmBaseName>InstallerUtility.sh aftre installation
When I run lsdaq produce this error:
libnipalu.so failed to initialize
Perhaps you need to run updateNIDrivers
Aborted
but when I run updateNIDrivers seems all ok (nikal.ko was update)
but when I run lsmod appears only nipal mode and not the nipalk ones.
How can I resolve this problem?

I read the 2 post and I try to solve my problem, but nothing to do.
In the firt case I try to run /etc/init.d/nipal but it told me : missing nipalk.ko. Generate this running updateNIDrivers. If I run updateNIDrivers it seem to go fine, only a little error : Makefile.in not found (But the process terminate with nikal was update), and there is always the same error I wrote befeore.
I try also to install NI-VISA-4.2.0.iso befeore nidaqmxbase, but when I try to run UpdateNIDrivers appares the same error : Makefile.in not found.
any ideas?
