Hi
I need to work with RS422, using the NI USB-485 connector. I've found the pinout descriptions in this manual : http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/373170d.pdf
However, the pinouts are all abbreviations :
| Pin | 422/485 |
| 1 | GND |
| 2 | CTS+ (HSI+) |
| 3 | RTS+ (HSO+) |
| 4 | RXD+ |
| 5 | RXD- |
| 6 | CTS- (HSI-) |
| 7 | RTS- (HSO-) |
| 8 | TXD+ |
| 9 | TXD- |
GND is ground, but I don't know what the others are, and I found no definitions in the manual. Can anybody tell me what these all mean ?

The pins you will most likely need are the TX (transmit, data goes out) and RX (recieve, data comes in). The rest of various handshaking and addressing lines (RS-485 has an addressing scheme). All of the signals are differential, so there is the + and - for each signal.
