syringe pump can be controlled via Windows hyperterminal but not via LabVIEW

Hello,
I am able to fully operate a kdScientific Model 210 syringe pump using the Windows hyperterminal. However, when I subsequently connect the syringe pump to LabVIEW and use "serial connection.vi" to control it, I have no response at all. I have checked all of the parameters (baud rate, parity, etc.) and they are correct. Any idea on why the pump would work with the hyperterminal and not LabVIEW?

Thank you.

Hi,

If you are able to communicate with the pump via hyperterminal, you should be able to communicate via LabView as well. Make sure you close the hyperterminal connection before using labview, though, otherwise your pump may not respond to LV commands. If you post your LV code, it would be easier to say what the problem is.
