tektronix TDS 3054 communication

Hi,,

I want to acquire data for Tektronix TDS 3054 via GPIB to USB adaptor, it works properly when I use it with Labview signal express but I want to acquire the data into labview 2009 so I can insert it into ultrasonic A-scan VI

when I use the functio IVI acquire it detects no device!

Have you tried the LabVIEW driver? The IVI driver should work though. Is this the same pc you were running Signal Expess on? With the IVI Logical Name control, are you able to see the instrument?

NI device drivers which have been supplied in a DVD with other labview components are installed.

It is the same PC that I use for running both programs.

I did not try IVI liogical name, I ddo not even know how o do that!!

Thnx

Try the LabVIEW driver. Don't see much point in using the IVI one unless you use the IVI Scope Class driver.

The front panel logical name control has an arrow on the right side. Click on it to get a list.

Now it detects the tkds 30xx but gives no signal on my xy graph,,,it gives squire signal on wave form graph but it is not the actual signal generated by the scope

An XY graph seems a poor choice to display the signal. A regular graph is normally used. Post your code.

I have no idea what that is. It's an image, not code and the image is of two unknown VIs. You don't seem to be graphing the output of the scope anywhere

This is related to your other thread, where you also did not post any code and the exact same front panel image. You don't show anything related to a scope acquisition at all. Don't know what kind of help anyone give with so little information as to what the problem actually is.
