i have asserted the GPIB signals from the host, with the malfunctioning TNT, and was able to read all the lines, except REN and IFC, correctly in the BSR/DSR. the REN bit in BSR always reads high and the IFC bit always reads low. i think thats why 'scan for instruments' cant find my device.
