wen i write into a serial port and read the port it returns no respnse?

i did try using hyperterminal it works there. im using some basic AT commands like AT+CPIN? and ATD<no> to check for sim and dial a number respectively. The cable i am using is good as it works with other softwares.

Then attach the code with one of your commands saved like I asked. You are perhaps not sending a correct termination character.

i have attached an email with the string? do i need to have any data flow? i have tried the string with \r\n ,\r and \n as termination charecters but it still doesnt work.

You haven't attached anything. The only thing you attached in an earlier post shows that you cannot be sending either \r or \n correctly. The string control is not set for '\' Codes Display. Right click on it to change.
