win98 SE hangs on trouble shooting wizard with GPIB-pci card and Measurement and Automation explorer 2.2

What verification step does the troubleshooting wizard hang on, and what is the make and model of your computer?

It hangs on the 3rd step "sequence verified"

PIII 733 Mhz 256 Mb ram
win98 SE
20Gb scsi HDD
any help is appreciated

Sorry it took so long for me to respond, we moved buildings here so it's been hectic around here. Have your tried communicating to an instrument yet? Try IBIC

If that does not work, it's really best to just reinstall NI-488.2. If you have LabVIEW 6.0 or earlier, keep in mind that LabVIEW installs NI-488.2 as part of the complete install and I would suggest uninstalling LabVIEW too. Reinstall LabVIEW as custom and do not install NI488.2. Afterwards install 488.2, use either version 1.7 or 2.0.
