Faculty Email Invite Templates for Academic Event

Option 1

Good morning University of Texas Faculty,

Block out these 2 time options on your calendar. We are hosting 2 faculty specific 1.5-hour long NI updates and demos.

  • Session 1
    • 11am-12:30pm 12:30
    • 12:30-1 Pizza Lunch, Q&A
  • Session 2
    • 4pm-5:30pm
    • 5:30-6 Pizza Dinner, Q&A

If you already use NI products, this will be the time to see best practices from other universities, get updates on new products and use cases, and get your technical questions answered. If you don’t use NI products (e.g. LabView, DACs, etc.), this will be time to learn about how you could use them as part of your teaching and/or research roles.

  • Why NI?
  • Why LabVIEW?
  • LabVIEW vs Python
  • LabVIEW and Python Integration
  • Getting started with Flex Logger

The same content will be covered in both sessions and we’d like at least 20 attendees for each. Please let me know what else you would like to discuss, so it can be added to the agenda.

Option 2

Subject:  Upcoming National Instruments / LabVIEW Resources Training

Content:

Does your lab manage and program test systems?  Do you teach instrumentation or process control in your classroom?  Does your research group or class need to learn National Instruments / LabVIEW?

Come meet other campus users of data acquisition, control, and programmable instruments at our first meeting Tuesday, August 5th.  There will be topical presentations and pizza.  We are meeting 4:00 to 5:30 PM in room ____ of Mechanical Engineering (5555 Engineering Drive), and remotely via Teams.

For our first meeting, we have invited representatives from National Instruments, along with local industry users, to provide updated training material and LabVIEW training resources for campus faculty and staff. See attached flyer and agenda below for complete details.
