Welcome

This is a community page housing content, resources, and materials for workshops at academic institutions. LabVIEW is taught  at hundreds of academic institutions globally with over 5,000 students graduating annually with LabVIEW experience. Students, scientist and research faculty can use the LabVIEW material found in the knowledge base section of this page to streangthen their foundational knowledge of the environment. Below are steps to go through to host an academic workshop.

  1. Identify NI Partner
  2. Identify Faculty Sponsor
  3. Establish Date
  4. Confirm Address, Room & Time
  5. Collaborate with Faculty Sponsor on Topic Selection for Agenda. Material options are available in the knowledge base options on this page or topic options page. Estimated times and materials needed should be in the descriptions. The LabVIEW Community Training Initiative also has materials available.
  6. Work with NI Distributor to create an event registration page, arrange presenters and order pizza & beverages
  7. Promote the event with an email invite to the department or class, posting an announcement in the faculty newsletter and by posting a flyer
  8. Remind attendees at the beginning of the event they can set LabVIEW up on their personal computer then progress through the workshop content most appropriate for the attendees.
  9. Presenters, NI Partner and/or NI Distributer propose date options to faculty sponsor of a follow up event and topics of next meeting for attendees to vote on
  10. After an event, connect attendees to access materials to practice for the CLAD Certification (Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer) and have attendees fill out the LabVIEW Post-Event Survey
