Possible to program Luminary LM3S8962 Without keil JTAG

Is it possible to program/flash the Luminary LM3S8962 without a keil ULINK2 JTAG?  I have an IAR Systems JLINK and I can't use in Labview.  I tried setting the target options in uVISION3 to Luminary Eval Board and it works with only a USB cable.  Is it possible to get Labview to use only a USB cable as well?

Hi marko24,

I did a bit of research on the IAR JLINK, and I still don't know if it's 100% compatible with the LabVIEW for ARM module (LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM Microcontrollers).  As far as what is officially supported, that would be the Keil ULINK2 JTAG programmer.  It's possible that other programmers would work, but I don't know for sure as they have not been fully tested by National Instruments R&D.  You're welcome to try to integrate the JLINK into the system.  Please let me know if you are successful.

As far as LabVIEW for ARM is concerned, the ULINK2 JTAG programmer is required to download code to the evaluation board.  However, other methods may then be used to debug the code (ethernet, serial, or through the JTAG connection itself).

I hope this helps,

osama_007,

The names are perhaps synonymous, but the adapter I was referencing was the Keil ULINK2 USB-JTAG Adapter.  Here is a link to it.
