run ecos phytec from flash

Hello, I'm using the microprocessor SDK with the example Phytec 2294 target from RAM. Can you point me in the right direction to run from flash at start up? Is the cmd565 rom image the place to look for clues?

Thanks,

Richard

Hi Richard,

There should be a way to do this. You will lose some of the debugging ability of LabVIEW though. I am working with a developer to post a solution.

Thank you for your patience.

Richard,

The solution is going to be to large to post on the thread. Would it be possible to get your Company Name or Service Number? I can use either of these to create a Service Request for you with you contact information on it so that R&D can send the solution to you. Thanks!!

I am posting the description of the solution here for the benefit of others. You can read this and evaluate the suitability for your application. Interested parties can create a service request with NI support and we will send you the appropriate files.

THe solution is in the form of a target. Once the appropriate files are placed in the LabVIEW directory, a new Phytec target will show up in the embedded targets dialog. This target lets you build a ROM image instead of a RAM application. The executable built needs to be converted into a HEX ROM Image and downloaded to the target. Once the download is complete, restarting the target will make it run. Since this ROM image overrides our default framework, you will lose the ability to debug using labVIEW. However, user can have commandline control over Serial Port.

Thank you,
