Apply Icon to Child Implementations

Status: New

So you just finished editing a bunch of icons in a very low level class. Wow, they look pretty. Bummer though, that all the child implementations still have the old icons. Guess what, time to grab a cup of you favorite form of liquid caffeine and start grinding through all the descendant class VIs to manually do the same thing over and over and over and over...

Similar to when you edit a library icon, when I edit the icon of a dynamic dispatch VI, I'd really like to be able to automatically propagate that change through to all higher level implementations that exist in the project.

Oh yes.  And add a 2-D display of Icon graphics (Vertically) and colours (Horizontally) to allow for easy coloruing of multiple child classes......

At the moment, only the Icon set on the class COntrol is updated whereas the glyphs for the individual functions are not.  I think this would be a great addition.

I have made a mock-up pic but I have to uppload at home, I can't at work (IE 6)

Yep. Sure would be nice. And ... deferred for now. *sigh* But, luckily, the VIs that apply a library icon to a VI icon have just had the passwords removed, so building a tool to do that is something that someone might be able to do in their spare time ... which we all have copious quantities of, right? *sigh*
