Close All VIs in Project

Status: Completed
Available in NI LabVIEW 2010

Currently there is a "Close All" option in the File Menu.

When working with projects it would be nice to have a "Close All VIs" option that would leave the project file open, but close all the VIs.

I often use the Close All, then have to reload the project file.

Simon, there is kind of a way to do it,

Press Ctrl-Shift-W to list all the open windows, then do a Ctrl-A to select all the open windows (including the project), then just hold down Ctrl as you click on the main .lvproj file to unselect it. Then simply click on the Close Windows button on the right of the dialogue.

This can be done quite quickly, and will result in all the windows except the project window from being closed.

Unless you have several projects open... in that case, until this is implemented, close the respective project (which closes associated files) and re-open it.

One global to rule them all,
One double-click to find them,
One interface to bring them all
and in the panel bind them.

Thanks for the tip nrp.  Saves me time, especially when I'm single-stepping and LabVIEW keeps the subs open.
