Display Quick Drop window on same monitor as active VI

Status: New

When using Quick Drop I like to place the QD window in a corner of the screen, where it remembers its location and will appear the next time I press ctrl+space. When working in a multi-monitor setup I'd still like the QD window to appear in the corner of the screen, but on the monitor which I'm currently using to edit a VI.

The idea is to display the QD window on the same monitor as the active VI window (front panel or block diagram), but in the same relative location on screen when it was last used. So if the QD window was on monitor 1 in the lower left, then I edit a VI on monitor 2 and open QD, it will appear on monitor 2 in the lower left (instead of on monitor 1).

How would that work if the monitors have different resolutions?

Storing the QD window location as a ratio of window position to screen resolution would be one approach (what I was picturing when I mentioned relative location in the idea). Another would be to use the QD window's offset from the nearest top / bottom and left / right screen edges.

If there isn't an option to easily maintain window position between monitors of different resolutions, perhaps just a window position per display instead.
