Easy printing the test reports with the Front panel as per the A4 Standard.

For making the A4 Standard printing needs the option to make Pane A4 Size.

Then we can make easily create the front panel reports easy manner, add Indicator (result ,title, logo, auto signatures etc)  in the report and generate the print out.

A4 appears to be standard in some countries, but today's the first day I heard of it.

The idea of "set a pane to be some set of standard sizes" might be a good idea, but picking A4 alone doesn't seem reasonble.

For the record, a standard sheet of paper in the USA is 8.5x11 inches. A4 is apparently close to that (shorter on one edge, longer on the other, so not even the same aspect ratio).

You never heard of A4 until today? Really?

Really. I mean, I'd seen it on signs at copy shops, but I thought it was the tag for 8.5x11 until I Google'd it when this post was made. My first response was going to be "why call it 'A4' instead of just calling it '8.5x11'?" But I figured I should double check that A4 wasn't actually legal size paper (legal in USA means 8.5x14 inches). Lo, to my surprise, I learned it was a metric standard for paper. Learn something new every day.

My point stands -- it's not something I think we would lock into LV, though perhaps it could be one of several paper sizes.

In cases where I needed this, I put some code in the VI to change the window size to the relevant ratio (~1.41 in the case of A4) before printing.

Developing a GUI on a computer monitor is that much different from printing an A4 (or letter for those americans insisting to use this peculiar standard Smiley Wink), that I think there are not many use cases to force it to the size of a piece of paper.

Alternatively, one could define a printing area, optionally being visible on the front panel and being able to print just that area. So put all controls and indicators you want to be printed in that area, leaving space for GUI elements you don't want to be printed.

The more I think of this the more I like it.

So, on second thought,  kudos but preferably for a printing area to be defined by the user.

Greetings from the Netherlands where printers loaded with A4 paper are as common as water runnning from the tap.

(and yes, we all do have taps here Smiley Very Happy).

AristosQueue:  Thanks for your comments.A4 standerd is resonable because most the books and reports are made in the A4 Format. Mainly my Idea is for genrating the test reports in easy manner with out connetiong many VIs.

donkdonk: Thanks for your comments. This is my !dea, which is rised in my brain.I think what ever we are facing problems, for those problem only ,we will find solutions.
