Ideas to improve LabVIEW help

Status: Declined

Any idea that has not received any kudos within a year after posting will be automatically declined.

Hi all,

This is Rutsu Kenmoku from NIJ AE.

I got few feedbacks from my customer about LabVIEW help and I would like to share the idea with you here.

In LabVIEW help, there are explanations on each terminals and for some VIs, it has equations but it would be a lot easier to understand if there were flow charts or timing charts.

My customer gave me a feedback on Timing loop and he told me that it  would be easier to understand if there were diagrams to explain the action.

I hope it helps to improve LabVIEW help.

Regards

Diagrams like what? Give us an example so we can better rate this idea. I agree that graphics are easier to understand sometimes but I just don't quite understand what they were looking for in the case of the Timed Loop.

I don't quite understand what you are suggesting here. Are you saying the Help is inadequate? Is there a specific page that needs to be improved? Is it a specific section? The Example Finder contains examples on various structures, like the timing loop. Has your customer looked at these?

All in all, I can't quite figure out what's being suggested here as an "idea".

r.kenmoku,

Please elaborate on what you mean by adding diagrams to the LabVIEW Help or this idea will be declined. Thanks!
