LabView shortcuts and macros

Very often you get into the situation where you always have to do the same hundred clicks in the same order.

My suggestion: make shortcuts for every LabView menu item, also the context menues user defineable (right click on controls etc., e.g. "set control to typedef" or "set cluster autosize to arrange vertically" etc. It is the same with the cluster constants in the block diagram, not only with controls/indicators on the front panel.  Additionally it might be really an option to record little macros and make those macros available via short cuts, like you are used to have in MS tools.

Comment: I know you can do a lot of stuff with VI server, but nevertheless: recording makros as a LabView function would just be more comfortable ...

I believe that what you are looking for is custom QuickDrop plugins. In LV 2010 and later, go to the LV online help and search for the term "quickdrop". There's only one hit. That page will give you information on adding your own plug-ins. If you want more help, or to download more plug-ins already written, visit the QuickDrop Plugins community group.

Andreas, click on the idea options and select report to moderator. Ask to correct the spelling (change makro to macro). I once wasted a bunch of time posting a duplicate because the original idea was spelled incorrectly and therefore I didn't find it.
