Label should be bound to wire

Status: New

The label of a wire should be a property of the wire itself.

Problem occurs for example, if a dynamic event registration is used on unnamed wires. Here it would be more comfortable if the label "sticks" to the wire.

See the attached screenshots.

Perhaps this idea is more fitting for your example?

I would also like to be able to Pin a label to an input /output node  or wire such that when block diagram cleanup is run - the comments don't need to be manually sorted afterwards.

Block Diagram has gotten better at keeping comments near the code that it is placed with in recent LabVIEW versions.

And wires do have labels now, so the label will stick with the wire.  CMW's idea is about causing the labels on wires to "stick" or cause the datatype on the wire to change and persist downstream.  Not exactly the datatype, but the property of a wire that gives it a name.

This would be quite useful!

I think what you're suggesting is that the wire label should be tied to the wire name.  I support this.
