The Lego Mindstorms NXT G programming environment works pretty well on Mac and PC. If the program could be ported to iPads, it would make it extremely easy for educators and users alike to create new code or make simple modifications to an existing program.
The "app" could be activated by entering a code obtained from the SW package included in the Lego Mindstorms NXT 2.0 robotics kit.
As iPads become more popular in some school systems, educators would love to see the programming environment on the tablet.
As a side note, if one of these robots transports an iPhone connected thru a WiFi network, the iPad can see the live image of the phone.
Therefore, a plug-in that would allow not only remote control of a robot, but also a "LiveView" of what the robot can see, would be fantastic!
There is already a third-party app that does this, but not integrated into the SW package created by NI.
We would be happy to beta-test the package, we have 10 kits and over 50 users.
