Relative Pallette Selection (show-up from context menu) should be (made) more intelligent!

Most often we need to browse to the palette of the base data type (in this case Bool, and not only the datatype of the wire (Array)), to search/insert/replace a function while coding. Here I wanted to bring the And Array Elements function from the Boolean palette by clicking the Equal To function's output, but it gives me an option only to the Comparison & Array palettes. I'd prefer the Boolean palette to be shown up in the options. 🙂

This suggestion should be considered in a very generic & more inclusive manner for all the use cases.

P.S.:- I did not see any option for BD category, so labeling under UI & Usability (since the BD is an User Interface for me as an App Developer using LabVIEW. 🙂 )

Turns out to not be an exact duplicate after all

Darren, this idea is a duplicate of Jim's idea.  I was saying that Jim's idea was not a dupliate of Christian's idea (which you will find if you dig through the idea I linked to before).

Darren,

I'm saying Jim's idea IS a duplicate of Christian's, because he himself says in the beginning "Related to", And, if you read through both of them carefully, you could see both want the sub-menu options to show more options.

Christian asks for the expansion of Replace option's submenus, while Jim & I have asked for both Replace as well as Insert.

Jim's & mine are very close to each other, while Christian talks explicitly about bringing the Select a VI to the sub-menu as well.

So, IMO, all the three could be combined as one feature request as "Expansion of branch submenu options for the main submenus Insert & Replace when the user clicks on a function or its terminals (I/O) or a wire between two functions." 🙂

I don't have the capability to combine ideas at this time. parthabe, do you want me to close your idea as a duplicate of Jim's, or leave it open?
