Status Bar for Labview

Hi,

  I was thinking it would be very helpful if we had a status bar on the VI window which can show what labview is doing right now. For example, If the person is cleaning up the diagram, there can be a status message "Cleaning up diagram" and later put up a message saying "Diagram Cleaned Up". If possible, we can have a progress bar for long activities like it can show the amount of progress in the diagram clean up.

It can be an optional thing. like "dont show this message in future". Because I personally will not prefer a pop up for this.

Muks, a statusbar is not a pop-up, it's a reserved portion of the active window (normally at the bottom).

Good idea when working with huge VIs.

I've never seen LabVIEW take a lot of time when working with small/medium sized VIs. As a good programming practice, we encourage the use of sub-VIs and improve modularity. So, I wonder how useful this will be.

On a related note, the new enhancements to the VI Analyzer tool should help you with all such code analysis and improvements.
