This VI in Project in the VI's

Status: New

If i want to find a VI in a project, I have to open the VI, then View >> This VI in Project (Ctrl+Shift+E)

 

Would be great if i can right click the VI icon and select as shown below.

OK, so this is a right click plug in. I don't think you need autohotkey though. But perhaps you do. EDIT: It seems you do. Never mind.

I didn't find any property or method to highlight / set the selected items in the project-explorer. If someone can tell me: 😍
So instead I created a right-click plugin, which opens the subVI frontpanel, then I run the autohotkey script which executes "SHIFT+STRG+E" and then I restore the subVI frontpanel.

You can highlight libraries, classes, etc. in your project ("hilight in project", with typo).

 

Over here they say there is such a method for any projectitem. The method is called "SelectItem":

EDIT: sorry about the multiple edits.

 

This seems to do everything required. Of course the subVI would have a different origin.
