User icons available in the Icon Editor

Status: Already Implemented

I've thought for some time that the editing of icons and the glyphs available is very limited.

Is there any way to have a user folder available where I can place icons or glyphs that I’ve created or downloaded. That can then become available to me in the icon editor either under a new tab or in the glyphs?

You can put custom glyphs for use in the icon editor in the following folder:

C:\Users\<user>\Documents\LabVIEW Data\Glyphs

Note that the root path might change based on the operating system used. The example given is for Windows Vista (yuck).

You will need to restart the icon editor for the additions to show up.  Note that you can save images from the icon editor itself for future use, as well.  These default to the glyphs location.  Parallel to the glyphs directory is an icon templates directory you can use to create your own icon templates (which can also be created from the icon editor itself).
