Can you provide a use case for this so we can get a better idea of the extent of usability for this change?

You only have to put the To Variant on one of the inputs. The others will then convert. Do you think avoiding one node on the diagram is worth adding another type of node to LabVIEW?

Can you provide a use case for this so we can get a better idea of the extent of usability for this change?

I use the same whenever i need to launch a dynamic vi (and to set some values to controls of this dynamic vi. using the set control values)
