View Tabs as Buttons

It would be nice to have an option for Tab Controls to "View Tabs as Buttons" which would be editable similar to regular LabVIEW buttons... resize, change color, multiple text, etc. This would help simplify the extra code needed currently to do the same functionality.

What's wrong with tabs? They are omnipresent and intuitive!

I must be missing something. Why would you want to butcher them into a nonstandard UI?

Anyway, the extra code is trivial. Here are two possibilities:

replace the button row with a radiobutton control (you can mix and match any boolean control, align controls horizontally, and place it over the tab structure with the tabs hidden.

You can also import images into the tabs. Why not import images of your buttons? (look for "advanced...tab layout..images only")

View tabs as buttons will be really confusing atleast for me.

I suggest you make a different suggestion where you have the benefits of buttons ("resize, change color, multiple text, etc.") to a standard tab control.

Buttons for a tab structure is just a bad idea, sorry.

I need something similar to what rcpacini proposed. I created a invisible (color set to transparent) Tab Control and selected the pages using Property Nodes. Each page had lots of controls and indicators, reason why I need the pages, but don't want the tabs visual aspect. I don't think my specific need worth a change in LabVIEW. Same case here.
