paste behavior changed in 8.6?

Why did National change the way pasting objects on either the front panel or block diagram?

In 8.2 the paste (Ctrl-V) would paste the clipboard where the cursor was last clicked. 

In 8.6 (or possibly 8.6.1) it always pastes it in the center of the panel or diagram and is floating.

This is very annoying.

That's not an idea. It's not even phrased as a bug report (which should not go in here anyway), just a complaint.

 

A simple search for "pasting 8.6" yields this thread which says it was already fixed in 2009.

My apologies.  I had started by searching for "paste behavior" and "paste on canvas" and several other terms in the discussion forums and after clicking several search results but not finding the relevant discussion, I started from the page I was on to post the query. 

I thought that NI had just changed the "discussion forum" page to "Idea exchange".

Thanks for the link.  As I said, I did search but didn't find anything.
