version conversion wizard in labview

Hi,

      We know there are lot of posts in Version Conversion Board  for conversion of VIs and DLLs from one version to the other.In other programing languages like .net we can see the 'VERSION CONVERSION WIZARD'.Using that we can easily convert from one version to the other.Why there is no such conversion wizards in labview?It will be very helpful.Is there any problems for creating a conversion Wizard?

You already have the ability to load older versions and the ability to save to an older version. In order to open a newer version, you need the newer version or would you expect LabVIEW 2010 to also ship with LabVIEW 2011? If someone keeps their SSP up to date, they never have a problem with loading a VI in the latest version.

Our upgrade mutation works hard to make sure that VIs run the same as they did in the previous version automatically. Most of the time this is sufficient. There are, of course, some times when that is impossible. The last couple versions of LabVIEW also include a set of VI Analyzer tests for checking your code for any sections that may have different behavior from version to version.
